Wayne Baker

Wayne Baker has been playing trumpet since the age of 13. Born and raised in Halifax, he got his initial training in the public school system. Secondary training took place Toronto’s Humber College. After 10 years of free-lance playing, he returned to Halifax to study music education. Wayne continued to do free-lance playing, while teaching and raising his family. Now retired, he continues to play in a variety of bands including The Tuesday Night Band and Sounds of Motown.
